![]() ![]() “Altitude 4000” and “La Haute Route à mi-coteau” There are two books about the Swiss mountains to be discovered this winter: first of all there is the fabulous work by Maurice Schobinger and Pierre Abramowski published by Editions D’autre Part. “Altitude 4000” unveils a gallery of portraits of the 35 Swiss summits which stand over 4,000 m high which are photographed for the first time at 4,000 m and some 3 kilometres away. Following on from this you can delight in “La haute route à mi-coteau” published by the Slatkine editions. After “La haute route” and “Sentiers Valaisans”, François Perraudin, mountain guide, author and photographer, invites us to cover the Haute Route, from Verbier to Saas-Fee via paths across the snowfields. It is a great overview of the leisure and living area which makes up the Alps. |
